Member Work

What is a Working Member?
Member work is valuable way to be involved in the co-op, both for you and your co-op. Members don’t have to work, but if you are interested in member work and receiving a greater discount, there are a variety of schedules and types of work to choose from. As a member worker, you receive a member worker discount on all of your purchases at the register with the exception of beer, wine and T-passes. If your discount is going into your equity account, 2% of your discount will still go towards your equity, while you pocket the remainder! Member Workers assist the staff and management in jobs ranging from serving on Board Committees to office work to stocking shelves to bagging groceries and more.

Monthly work (when available) is 3 hours of work a month for a 10% discount.

Weekly work is 2 hours a week, usually the same job at the same time every week for a 20% discount.

Simply fill out a member work application at the front desk. Your application goes to the member services staff, who will call you within a couple of weeks to discuss your options.
