Earl, William, and Berry Ransom (above right) operate Strafford
Organic Creamery with the help of their cousin Stephanie (above
left), Earls wife, Amy, and a small staff of employees. They
have a herd of predominantly Guernsey cows, which are known for
their output of rich-flavored, high-butterfat milk. Using processing
equipment from Israel, Strafford Organic Creamery is a certified
organic farm that provides the Co-op with five types of milk throughout
the year, including creamline, whole, skim, 1 percent, and 2 percent,
plus eggnog (in season).
