Memorial Day Parade
Cheryl, Richard and Nathan received
a warm welcome at the Dairy Festival Parade In Enosburg.
The next day Cheryl attended a breakfast sponsored by Congressman
Bernie Sanders in Richford. Cheryl enjoyed meeting
many new friends and spending time in this beautiful area
of the state.

April 26-Woodstock: Cheryl joined over 300 Vermonters
at the Woodstock Inn and Woodstock Town hall attending the
Summit on the Creative Economy. Cheryl was inspired by presentations
by the mayor of Charleston South Carolina and Bill Strickland
from Pittsburgh who has created an educational model incorporating
the arts into the curriculum of a school for at risk inner
city youth. Cheryl attended workshops on improving public
policy toward nurturing the creative economy.
April 24,25- St. Albans. Cheryl visited the
Vermont Maple Festival in St. Albans. She and husband
Richard attended the ARC Pancake Breakfast on Sunday
morning and joined Gubernatorial candidate Peter Clavelle,
State Treasurer Jeb Spaulding, and State Auditor Elizabeth
Ready in volunteering in the kitchen. Cheryl poured coffee
and met many wonderful people in Franklin County.
Parade- In the afternoon Cheryl, Richard and a contingent
of over a dozen Rivers supporters marched in the first major
parade of the season along with other elected officials
and candidates. After the parade Cheryl and Rick toured
the maple exhibit, and visited the craft fair before heading
home to Stockbridge.
April 24- Barre Town. and
City Democratic Breakfast at The Knights of Columbus. Cheryl
attended this well attended fundraiser and enjoyed catching
up with old friends , as well as getting to know Barre Democrats
better. April 24 - Essex Junction: Cheryl attended
E"verything Equine " at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds.
She renewed her membership in the Vermont Horse Council,
and made plans to continue involvement in helping state
government to be more responsive to the equine industry,
and more aware of the industry's importance to the Vermont
economy.
April 23- Cheryl attended the Rock the Vote concert
event at UVM's Cook's Commons. She helped register voters,
and met many young voters. She also witnesses an amazing
rap performance by Burlington Mayor Peter Clavelle who impressed
the young crowd with his ability to "Rock the
Vote."
April 22- Montpeler: House Democratic fundraiser
Vermont college .Cheryl attended this well attended event
to raise money to support Democratic House candidates
April 21- Wolcott Town Hall. Cheryl attended a forum
on universal health care, listening to the program and to
the concerns of area citizens. The forum was sponsored by
several legislators and organized by Vermont Health Care
For All.

March 19 - The annual Curtis Awards Dinner (above)
drew over 500 people. A large Rivers contingent (over 3
dozen) bought their tickets through her, and provided lively
visual and vocal support. In quiet moments Cheryl gained
even more backing working the crowd.
